Your day begins early with hotel pickup in Bayahibe or Punta Cana and a comfortable drive to the quiet fishing town of Miches, on the northern Caribbean coast. There, you’ll enjoy a typical Dominican breakfast before boarding your motorized catamaran, limited to around 50 passengers for a more personal experience.

From January to March, the bay of Samaná becomes the stage for one of nature’s greatest shows, the migration of the humpback whales. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll spend 2/3 hours at sea observing these majestic creatures as they leap and play in the warm waters where they come to breed. The captain carefully positions the boat to respect safe viewing distances while giving everyone a clear view of these gentle giants.

After returning to shore around midday, you’ll head to a nearby local restaurant to enjoy a hearty Dominican lunch, freshly grilled chicken, fish, rice, and tropical fruits.

Next, climb aboard a safari truck for the short but thrilling journey to Montaña Redonda, a hilltop famous for its 360° views of the ocean, lagoons, and lush countryside. Once at the top, take in the scenery, relax in one of the panoramic swings, or try one of the optional activities like the zipline or the hanging bicycle for even more adrenaline.

Throughout the day, your local guide shares stories about Dominican culture, wildlife, and daily life, offering a glimpse into the authentic heart of the island, far from the typical tourist routes.

After a final stop to admire the coastal landscape, it’s time to head back. You’ll return to your hotel around 5:30 p.m. in Punta Cana or 6:30 p.m. in Bayahibe, filled with unforgettable memories of nature, adventure, and local life.
