You'll admire the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista and discover Plaza de la Soledad, home to the Ermita de la Soledad and the iconic Giraldilla, one of the most recognizable symbols of Badajoz. You'll then continue to Plaza Alta, one of the most unique spaces in the historic center, surrounded by buildings and architectural features that reflect the city's medieval and Mudéjar past.

The tour continues to Plaza de San José and the Mudéjar Houses, before entering the Alcazaba complex through the Puerta del Capitel. In this fortified complex, you'll see the Palace of the Counts of la Roca and the old church of Santa María del Castillo, as well as learning about the strategic importance of Badajoz throughout its history.
