Located in the village of Erriadh, Djerbahood is a unique open-air museum in Tunisia. Artists from all over the world have transformed the walls of the village into true works of art, mixing contemporary street art, calligraphy, Berber symbols, and Mediterranean influences. Strolling through its alleys, you'll discover a rare harmony between modern art and traditional Djerbian architecture.

After being picked up from your accommodation, the kids are welcomed into a secure drawing and painting workshop, right next to the site. Supervised by a local artist, they can let their imagination run wild around the theme of Djerba:
palm and olive trees
typical doors and alleys
dromedaries
sea, beach, and fishing boats
colorful patterns inspired by the frescoes of Djerbahood

Each child creates their own work and proudly leaves with an artistic souvenir of their stay.

Meanwhile, parents can enjoy a guided walking tour through Djerbahood, accompanied by a passionate local guide who tells the story of the project, the artists, and the village of Erriadh.

If they wish, parents can also visit the El Ghriba synagogue (closed on Saturdays), one of the oldest and most important Jewish places of worship in North Africa. A hotspot of spirituality and cultural coexistence in Djerba, it's famous for its architecture, mosaics, and millennial history.

The visit ends with a relaxing moment over a mint tea, to savor the peaceful atmosphere of the village before meeting the kids and their creations.
