Begin your tour at 4:30 p.m. with pickup from your hotel in Uyuni, or meet at the Skyline Traveller Uyuni office if arranged in advance. Travel in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle toward the heart of the salt flats to enjoy the changing colors of the sky as the sun sets.
After sunset, experience the calm of the salt flats at night, with very low light pollution perfect for observing the southern hemisphere stars. During the rainy season, the salt flats may create the famous mirror effect, reflecting the sky above. In drier months, the landscape offers a different but equally impressive view of the vast flats under the night sky. The tour ends around 9:00 p.m. with a return to your hotel.
