Meet your guide and set off on a journey through Sarajevo's coffee culture. Discover how coffee has been a part of the city's history since the 15th century, during the Ottoman and Austrian periods, and how the modern specialty coffee scene developed and fits into the picture. Designed for 8 or fewer coffee lovers, this small tour offers a chance to connect and enjoy a close-knit experience.
Begin in Baščaršija, where the oldest coffeehouse in Europe once stood. Discover how the old ways of pounding and brewing coffee are still alive today, and then taste a cup yourself, served in the traditional way Bosnians enjoy coffee: on a copper plate and accompanied by something sweet.
On your tour, visit a Viennese cafe that transports you right to Austria. A real-life example of how Austria-Hungary influenced the local culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, right down to the cups. Sample delicious cake with your Viennese coffee.
