Makadi Bay: Quad Bike Driving Academy & Desert Skills Course

Build real riding confidence in a quad bike driving academy with guided practice in braking, turning, slopes, sand control, and emergency stops before a desert ride.
Begin your quad bike driving academy with either hotel pickup, when selected, or arrival at the desert base near Makadi Bay. After registration, meet your instructor, receive a helmet and safety equipment, and learn how the quad controls work. This experience focuses on practical driving skills rather than speed or racing.

Your instructor first demonstrates correct riding posture, smooth acceleration, safe braking, steering, and responsible spacing. You then enter a controlled training area for step-by-step practice. Work through braking drills, slalom obstacles, tight turns, hill starts and descents, sandy-terrain control, and emergency stopping. The instructor observes each exercise, gives clear feedback, and helps you repeat techniques until you feel more comfortable.

Once the training course is complete, put your new skills into practice during a guided desert ride. Follow the instructor across open tracks and varied terrain while using the techniques learned in the academy. The small-group format, limited to a maximum of six drivers, allows closer supervision and a more personal learning experience.

Pause for refreshments and desert photos before returning to the base. At the end of the approximately 2.5-hour program, receive a souvenir completion certificate marking your quad bike skills course. Hotel drop-off follows for guests who selected transfers.
