Meet your guide near Ganymede’s Fountain, located in front of the historic Slovak National Theatre. Set off to explore the heart of the Old Town and immerse yourself into the world of art and beauty. As you stroll through the charming streets and hidden courtyards, listen to fascinating stories along the way!
Greet the Man at Work, Schöne Naci, and Napoleonic Soldier, famous Bratislava street-art sculptures, and admire the Main Square with its Old Town Hall, followed by the Primate’s Palace. Stroll through the iconic "Umbrella Street" and learn where to find the best galleries in town. Hear the fascinating story of the Character Heads and discover the birthplace of a renowned music composer.
Next, admire Michael’s Gate and the Corso, lined with noble palaces of aristocrats. Mozart, Liszt, Beethoven – all have connections to the city. Continue to St. Martin’s Cathedral, the former coronation church, and visit the historic Salvator Pharmacy, a true hidden gem. Arrive at the lively promenade and encounter characters from Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless stories.
Near the Slovak Philharmonic, learn why Slovaks are considered a very musical nation and what musical instrument you cannot find anywhere else in the world. The tour will come to an end at the Slovak National Theatre, where it began, completing the full circle. However, those interested can continue to visit the Blue Church, a jewel of Hungarian Art Nouveau, just 10 minutes away from the theatre.
