Start off with romantic Heidelberg on this delightful tour combination. Afterwards continue to the Rhine River Valley - an area UNESCO counts to the World Heritage of Mankind.
In the morning departure to Heidelberg: First stop at the castle ruins high above the valley, the landmark of the city.
This castle has been the residence of the mighty electors for fivehundred years and is considered as the epitome of German Romanticism. Your guide will show you the impressing courtyard, the large terrace and the biggest winebarrels worldwide. Afterwards we go on a walking tour through the medieval town center
In the afternoon we will explore the UNESCO World Heritage site Upper Middle Rhine Valley with its vineyards and picturesque small towns. See the mighty medieval castles - the area has the highest density of such buildings in Europe. Enjoy an entertaining lesson in the history of wine growing of the valley dating back to ancient Roman times along with some small tastes of local wines. One of the top highlights is the river cruise on one of the traditional Rhine steamers. Dinner in a beautiful restaurant right at the riverside. Ride back to Frankfurt.

• Tour consists of a combination of 2 tours. After Heidelberg, a morning tour bus returns to Frankfurt and continues to Rhine Valley
• The activity operates in most weather conditions
- Due to climate change, sometimes distances and departure times of the boat rides in the valley may change because of high or low waters. If a boat ride is not possible due to low or high waters we will visit a castle or historic site instead.

Your guide will pick you up there! The departure point is close to the main train station.
Take note: Do not enter the hotel Le Meridien at this place, we do not pick up in the hotel lobby and also not directly at the entrance.
