Take the opportunity to sightsee between bites and learn about Chester’s growing food scene. You will eat in an historic pub and enjoy Chester-made, artisanal produce in one of its most important buildings. Hear stories of the city from your local, award-winning tour guide that help bring the Chester to life!
Tastings can include a traditional handmade pie paired with locally brewed craft beer, European tapas made with regional ingredients by a Sicilian chef, authentic bao buns and crispy chicken inspired by Thai and Chinese cuisine, and a craft ale enjoyed along the ancient Roman walls.
The experience continues with a Cheshire baked cheesecake created by a master pâtissier, hot smoked salmon from a historic family fishmonger, handmade artisanal chocolates produced in the city, and a Cheshire gin tasting served with the famous local Cheshire cheese — all enriched by stories and traditions from Chester’s past.
