Move through the historic towers and uncover the details you’d likely miss on your own—from defensive walls to secret rooms for kings.
We'll meet outside Conwy Tourist Information Centre, Rosehill Street LL32 8LD. We'll then start looking at the importance of its location and construction. We'll then admire the robust fortifications constructed in order to keep the Welsh at bay- or so you would think! We'll also wander through the Inner and Outer wards, East and West Barbicans, as well as spending some time in the Chapel Tower.
You'll also hear about events that shaped its history since it was constructed. We'll look at how it relates to the town of Conwy, as well as who, over the years, has stayed in the castle. There'll be some little secrets along the way as well!
After our 90 minutes is over, I'll guide you onto the curtain wall walkways if you're happy to. You will be able to remain at the castle after the tour has finished, so you can explore its many passageways and towers at your leisure.
