Discover the beauty of southern Tunisia on this 3-day adventure from Tunis. Explore ancient Roman monuments, traditional Berber villages, and the Sahara Desert.
Day 1: Northern Tunisia – El Jem – Matmata – Toujane – Chenini

Depart early in the morning from your hotel in Tunis, Hammamet, Sousse, or Nabeul. Your first stop is the magnificent El Jem Amphitheater, one of the world's best-preserved Roman monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continue south to Matmata, famous for its underground troglodyte houses. Discover the unique architecture of this Berber region and enjoy a traditional lunch.

In the afternoon, visit Toujane, one of Tunisia's most beautiful mountain villages, offering stunning panoramic views and authentic Berber charm. Continue to Chenini, an ancient hilltop Berber village overlooking the desert plains.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional troglodyte guesthouse.

Day 2: Chenini – Tataouine Region – Douz – Sahara Desert Camp

After breakfast, explore the Tataouine region, famous for its ksour (fortified granaries) and Berber heritage. Visit some of the most remarkable ksour and discover the fascinating history of southern Tunisia.

Enjoy lunch in the region before continuing toward Douz, known as the Gateway to the Sahara. Arrive in Sabria at Camp Dunes Insolites in the afternoon.

Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional welcome with mint tea, check-in, and installation in your desert tent. Have free time to relax or enjoy optional activities like camel riding, quad biking, a 4x4 desert excursion, or sandboarding.

In the evening, watch the sunset on the golden dunes, enjoy traditional folklore entertainment, see a sand bread (Mella) preparation demonstration, and have a traditional dinner. Spend the night in a desert tent.

Day 3: Sahara Desert – Chott El Jerid – Chebika – Tamerza – Kairouan – Return

Wake up in the peaceful Sahara and enjoy breakfast at the camp. After some time to relax and freshen up, depart toward Tozeur. Cross the spectacular Chott El Jerid salt lake, famous for its vast white landscapes and mirage effects.

Continue to the mountain oasis of Chebika, where you can admire natural springs, palm groves, and breathtaking desert views. Enjoy lunch before visiting Tamerza, Tunisia's largest mountain oasis, known for its waterfalls, canyons, and abandoned village.

On the return journey, stop in Kairouan for a short visit to one of Tunisia's most important cultural and spiritual cities. Return to your hotel in Tunis, Hammamet, Sousse, or Nabeul in the evening.
