# Loch Ness, Glencoe & The Scottish Highlands Day Tour
**Departure:** Approx. 8:00 am
**Return:** Approx. 7:00 pm
Leave the city behind and journey into the spectacular Scottish Highlands, where dramatic landscapes, fascinating history and legendary stories await.
Travelling into Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, we begin our Highland adventure surrounded by stunning mountain scenery and beautiful lochs. Depending on your departure location, we may visit the picturesque conservation village of Luss on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, where you can enjoy a morning coffee, take a short stroll and admire the views towards Ben Lomond (weather permitting).
Continuing north, we travel through the impressive Highland landscapes of Crianlarich and Tyndrum before gaining altitude and crossing the vast wilderness of Rannoch Moor. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the famous film locations featured in movies such as *Skyfall*, *Harry Potter*, *Rob Roy* and *Trainspotting*.
Our next stop is the breathtaking valley of Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. Surrounded by towering mountains, this beautiful glen has a dark and dramatic past. Hear the haunting story of the Glencoe Massacre of 1692 and learn about the events that shaped Highland history.
We continue through Fort William, located beneath Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland and Britain. Depending on the day’s schedule, there may be time to explore the town, browse the shops or take in views of the surrounding mountains.
From here, we travel through the Great Glen and alongside the Caledonian Canal to Fort Augustus, a charming village situated at the southern end of Loch Ness. Enjoy approximately two hours here, with the option to take a cruise on Loch Ness, enjoy lunch, and search for the legendary Nessie.
Leaving Loch Ness behind, we journey through the stunning Cairngorms National Park before heading south through Highland Perthshire. We make a photo stop at a whisky distillery before continuing to either Pitlochry or Taste Perthshire, where you can enjoy refreshments, browse local produce and, if we're lucky, meet Scotland’s famous Highland cows.
Our final stop is a viewpoint overlooking Stirling Castle before returning to your chosen drop-off point at approximately 7:00 pm.
