This daily tour will begin with a visit to St. Hripsime Church. This amazing building has stood upright since the day of its construction in 618 A.D, making it one of the oldest standing churches in the world. A 5-minute drive away is the next stop on your tour: the 7th Century Church of St. Gayane.

After this stop, you will head to observe the world’s first Christian Cathedral – the Holy Echmiatsin. Echmiatsin is considered to be the spiritual center of Armenians all over the world. According to legend, Jesus Christ descended on the same spot where the Dissention Altar stands today, where Gregory the Illuminator ordered the church to be built. You will make a final stop at another beautiful 7th Century temple, also included in the UNESCO heritage list.

Whilst staying in Armenia, you simply cannot miss the opportunity to visit one of the country’s most renowned landmarks – the beautiful Lake Sevan. Merely an hour’s drive from the capital city of Yerevan, Sevan is situated at a height of 1900m above sea level and surrounded by a vast chain of mountains. The tour begins with a climb to the Sevan peninsula – a pleasant workout that will reward you with unforgettable panoramic views of the lake from the top. You will also visit the monastery of Sevanavank before returning back.
