Description

Discover Australian animals at night on a guided tour from Perth. Enjoy a picnic dinner in the forest, visit the Barna Mia wildlife sanctuary at night, and a sound healing session under the stars.
Journey through Western Australia’s wheatbelt region to the Dryandra Woodlands, a unique conservation reserve which is part of an international biodiversity hotspot. Leave Perth and head southeast through native forest before coming to the wheatbelt region.

See golden fields of wheat ripple like a calm ocean and fields of bright yellow canola flowers stretching endlessly to the horizon, gently waving in the breeze. Be on the lookout for emus and kangaroos enjoying the wide open space of the farmer’s fields.

Upon arrival at the woodlands, take a short bush walk, looking for native animals and stunning wildflowers in season before sitting down for a picnic dinner in the forest. Your guide will cook some food on the barbeque, there will be fresh salads, cheese and biscuits, wine and hot drinks available.

After dinner, enjoy a scenic drive through the forest as the sunlight filters through the branches of the trees, casting long shadows and a flickering light creating a magical effect on the forest floor. Keep an eye out for the many kangaroos in the area as they dodge and weave their way through the trees.

Your final stop is Barna Mia, a unique wildlife sanctuary for some of Australia’s endangered mammals. The guides will provide a short talk and video explaining the conservation work done at Barna Mia. Then head into the sanctuary for a guided night walk where you sit and wait for the night creatures of Barna Mia to appear. Before long, you will be entertained by cute, furry animals scurrying around searching for food.

To complete the tour, experience a Sound Healing session under the Milky Way with a 34-inch gong. Above you, the sky is a brilliant tapestry of stars, countless pinpricks of light stretching across the vast, dark canvas. The rhythm of the gong feels in sync with the slow pulse of the earth beneath you and the timeless dance of the stars above. Each gong strike feels like a gentle invitation to sink deeper into the quiet mystery of the universe.
