Your guide from Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will meet you at your hotel after breakfast and drive you to Swyambhunath, one of the most revered landmarks in Kathmandu. Located atop a hill, this ancient stupa is adorned with a striking white dome and golden spire painted with the all-seeing eyes of Buddha. As you climb the stone steps leading to the top, you’ll pass by playful monkeys, small shrines, and prayer wheels that create a peaceful yet lively atmosphere. Once at the top, you can walk around the stupa, spin the prayer wheels, and admire the intricate carvings and statues of Buddha and other deities. Nearby, you’ll find several smaller temples such as Harati Temple (dedicated to the Goddess of Children), Vajra (Thunderbolt Symbol), and various monasteries with chanting monks.
