The domain was founded in the 15th century by the Adornes family, originating from the Italian city of Genoa. It comprises the Jerusalem Chapel, several almshouses and a mansion. The family chapel was consecrated in 1429 and was inspired by the Church of the holy sepulchre in Jerusalem. The architecture, interior and exceptional relics provide an exceptional illustration of the Adornes family’s great reverence for Jerusalem.
