Description

Take part in an interactive, educational brewery journey hosted by a local expert. Discover some of the high quality beers Belgium is renowned for on this walking tour. In addition to the beer, learn about the city and try some chocolate sampling.
Start your day by meeting your guide and group at the designated meeting point. After a brief meet and greet with your friendly guide, you will head off to your first stop of the day. Begin the excitement with a trip to one of the city's most popular chocolate stores. Thanks to this take-away formule, you’ll discover a pallet of aromas and tastes in combination with a high quality beer. Before the tasting can start, you'll explore some of the favourite beers of your fellow group members thanks to some beer windows on the way to your first stop. Discover some of Belgium's proud brewing traditions and find out some of the secrets behind its wide range of delicious beers.

Make your first stop at one of the city’s most popular bars, and taste your first beer. Swap thoughts on the flavour and notes, and soak up the convivial spirit as you chat to your guide and group. Trappist or Lambic beers can be enormously surprising when matched with some chocolate or other local delicacies to enjoy the full Belgian beer-and-food experience.

From here, move on to other lively beer haunts, including some hidden gems loved by and known only to the locals. You'll be taken to places ranging from the most trendy to most medieval, in order to satisfy every age group on the tour. Over the course of the tour, sample a selection of bigger brands and craftwork brews, tasting a gutsy mix from malty, hoppy, fruity, reddish, and herby beers to sour and triple varieties.

Explore the youngest or oldest brewery in town where you can sample craft beers like Lambic or younger styles like Barley wine. In between all the brew kettles, you'll discover how malt and hops find their way into the kettle, followed by the fermentation room stories, where all the magic happens. As you approach the end of your tour, you will venture to the last beer location for the day to try a truly unique, fresh beer. You will also be entertained with stories of the beer queen and king. Your tour will conclude in central Brussels where your guide will say farewell.
