Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Thimphu (2,334m)
Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your guide. Visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong), a 17th-century watchtower showcasing Bhutan’s history and cultural heritage. Drive 1.5 hours (55km) to Thimphu, the world’s only capital without traffic lights. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a revered site where locals gather for daily prayers, and the impressive 169ft Buddha Dordenma Statue overlooking the valley.

After you book the tour, we need copies of your passports and recent passport-sized photos to process your Bhutan visas.

You will be on the move most of the time, so we recommend packing as lightly as possible. We suggest you carry 1 suitcase or duffle bag and a small day backpack to accommodate your personal items.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
