Description

Learn how to make Bosnian coffee with a local guide in Sarajevo. Visit the historic coppersmith street, learn how coffee is pounded, and enjoy a hands-on brewing lesson at cozy local coffee bar.
Step into Sarajevo’s oldest craft street, smell freshly pounded coffee, and learn the art of Bosnian coffee the same way locals have done it for centuries — slowly, with intention, and always in good company.

Begin in Kazandžiluk, Sarajevo’s iconic coppersmith street. Hear the sound of copper tools ringing in the air, watch artisans hammer designs by hand, and learn how Bosnian coffee is always served in a copper set. Stop at a tiny coffee shop — a place most tourists walk past — where coffee beans are still crushed the old-fashioned way.

Walk to a cozy coffee bar in the old town — a peaceful spot loved by locals. Here the magic begins. Heat the water, control the foam, mix the grounds, and brew your own Bosnian coffee exactly as it’s been done for generations.

Your host explains every step of the ritual: how to pour correctly, how to drink it the traditional way, and why Bosnians never rush this moment. Sip together with lokum, and slow down.
