Rio: Rocinha Favela Tour with Local Guide & Capoeira

Walk Rocinha with a guide born and raised there. Small group of max 9, live capoeira, a soccer moment with locals, and an optional rooftop drone video to take home.
Your guide was born and raised in Rocinha — Rio's largest favela — and he still lives there. That's the difference on this 4-hour walking tour: you're not visiting a neighborhood, you're being shown around someone's home, in English, Spanish, or Italian.

Groups are capped at 9 people, so the pace stays personal. You'll walk the alleys and staircases most tours skip, stop where locals actually hang out, and hear the real story of how the community works — from its music and street art to daily life on the hillside.

Along the way, you'll watch a live capoeira roda performed by community artists, and if there's a game on, you're welcome to join a quick kickabout with the kids on a local court. Both moments happen with residents, not for tourists.

At the end, you'll reach a rooftop with one of the best open views over Rio. This is where you can choose to add the optional drone video — a cinematic clip of you with Rocinha and the city behind you, ready to post the same day.

You'll leave with a clearer, more honest picture of Rio's favelas — told by someone who calls one home.
