This half-day adventure takes you from Plovdiv straight into the majestic Stara Planina mountain range, where two remarkable landmarks await. First, you'll visit the legendary Buzludzha Monument – often referred to as the “Bulgarian UFO.” While entry inside is prohibited by law, you’ll get a close look at this iconic structure and a sneak peek through its doors. You’ll have more than 30 minutes at the site to explore, take photos, and enjoy the surreal atmosphere.

Next, we head to the Shipka Monument, a powerful symbol of Bulgaria’s liberation. Located at the top of Stoletov Peak, this memorial offers sweeping panoramic views and a deep dive into Bulgarian history. You’ll have around 20 minutes to walk around freely, climb the steps of the monument, and soak in its significance.
