Discover the beauty of Battambang’s countryside in the afternoon. This half-day tour combines rural landscapes, local life, the famous bamboo train ride, and the incredible bat exodus at sunset.
From 2:30 PM: Your afternoon adventure begins with a pickup from meeting point in Battambang. Travel by tuk-tuk through the countryside, there will be a quick stop at the rice fields where you can take photos and enjoy the peaceful rural scenery.
Next, enjoy a fun ride on the famous Bamboo Train (Norry), a unique local transport made from a bamboo platform powered by a small engine. The ride takes you along the old railway through beautiful rural scenery.
Continue to Phnom Sampov, an important historical and cultural site. Here you will visit the Killing Cave, a memorial site from the Khmer Rouge period, located inside the limestone mountain.
As the sun begins to set, gather near the Bat Cave to witness an unforgettable natural spectacle. Every evening, millions of bats stream out of the cave in a long black ribbon across the sky as they head out to feed — a truly breathtaking experience.
After the bat exodus, relax as your driver takes you back at the same meeting point in Battambang.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
