Description

Step across Phnom Penh’s river for a full village escape. Cook Khmer dishes with Sophors, stay overnight, and join our oil making workshop to distill your own Cambodian scent.
Step across Phnom Penh’s river and enter the calm rhythms of Areyksat village. This overnight escape blends a hands-on Khmer cooking class, essential oil making, and peaceful countryside living into one immersive experience.

Your journey begins after lunch.
Check in to our quiet guesthouse and settle into your private room. Take time to relax on the wooden balcony, enjoy the views, or dip into the open-air jacuzzi. The slower pace sets the tone for what’s to come.

In the afternoon at 4.00PM, join Sophors for a guided visit to the local market to explore Khmer ingredients and fresh produce. On the way back, walk through rice fields and garden paths, stopping to harvest herbs and vegetables from her garden.

In our open-air kitchen, you’ll take part in a Khmer cooking class where you prepare three traditional dishes using local techniques and ingredients. As the sun sets, gather around the table to enjoy your meal. The evening is yours to unwind in the hammock, soak again in the jacuzzi, or enjoy your peaceful room.

The next morning begins with a fresh countryside breakfast, followed by a hands-on essential oil workshop. Sophors will guide you through the process from harvest to bottle. You’ll begin with a short walk to gather fragrant herbs like lemongrass or mint, then distil your own essential oil using our equipment. By the end, you’ll bottle your creation to take home.

This is not just a stay. It is a full village experience where you cook, connect, and create to take home the scent of Cambodia.
