Siem Reap: 2-Day Angkor Wat and Banteay Srei Temple Tour

Travel back in time to the temples of Angkor with a local guide on this 2-day tour. Visit Angkor Wat at sunrise followed by a local breakfast, then visit several other temples, including Banteay Srei.
Day 1: Discover Three Main Temples with Sunrise

You will be picked up from your hotel lobby before sunrise at between 4:30 am to 5:00 am and continue to the watch the sunrise at one of the world's cultural heritage and the largest temple in the world, Angkor Wat temple as you soak in the breathtaking sunrise.

We may spend about 1-hour and 30 minutes to explore the whole entire building of Angkor Wat temple after seeing the sunrise and then have short break for a picnic-breakfast in front of the Royal swim poor of Sras Srang that you can enjoy of taste authentic Cambodian breakfast like Khmer noodle soup with traditional desserts like palm cake and steam rice dumplings with palm sugar.

After that, we continue to visit the jungle temple of Ta Prohm, which has been left in its original state and is partly overgrown with trees and huge roots, and then go to visit Bayon temple and the Victory gate of Angkor Thom, which has become a world-famous landmark and was built by King Jayavarman VII, who was also a Mahayana Buddhist. Bayon is also the only monastery that has survived to this day and was used as a place for worship, education, and administration.

At the end of our joined in tour, we take to see the biggest local market and walk in between food stalls to look for the best Cambodian specialties, where you can try Cambodian dishes such as sticky rice, cakes, fruits, egg noodles, or even fried spiders and scorpion and then drop you off at your hotel or Old market area.

Day 2: Temples of Grand tour with Banteay Srei Temple

You will be picked up at 8:00 am from your hotel after breakfast, Spend the morning exploring Siem Reap's countryside with your guide and head outside the city center to experience local rural life and culture. Enjoy of seeing how local people make palm cake and rice noodle, and then continue to visit the most beautiful temples outside city of Angkor Thom like Preah Khan temple, Neak Pean temple, Ta Som temple, East Mebon temple, Pre Rup temple. Take a lunch break.

In the early afternoon, drive to the intricately carved and well-preserved temple of Banteay Srei – the detailed reliefs on this smaller sandstone structure are regarded as the finest and most skillfully crafted in the kingdom of Cambodia and then take you back to Siem Reap.
