Fans of 2001 film “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” will find the place familiar. Continue to Bayon Temple and its serene stone faces. With architecture significantly different to Angkor Wat, the temple has great photo opportunities at every turn. You’ll also visit the impressive Victory Gate of Angkor Thom. The stone structure was built by Jayavaram VII to protect the city from invading neighbours, and the gate has withstood the test of time. Before the jeep returns you to your hotel, you’ll stop at a local market in Siem Reap to see locals buying and selling produce, handicrafts and clothing.
