Your guide meets you in the Buffalo area in the evening and drives you to Niagara Falls State Park. From there you head out on foot to Goat Island, the strip of land that separates the Horseshoe Falls from the American Falls, with viewpoints of both cascades from the middle of the Niagara River. Continue to Luna Island, a small outcrop wedged between the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, which places you close to the brink of each.
Over 2.5 hours in the park you take in all three falls from multiple angles. Horseshoe Falls curves across the Canada and U.S. border, carrying roughly 90 percent of the river over its crest and taking the full weight of the floodlights.
