After morning pickup, depart Quebec City for the beautiful area of Baie-Sainte-Catherine, near Tadoussac.
Sit back and relax on the scenic drive. On arrival to Baie-Sainte-Catherine, you’ll board either a big boat or be outfitted for your zodiac experience. The big boat offers inside and outside seating, a covered roof, restrooms, observation platform, a boutique, and a cafeteria. The zodiac offers a more intimate and adventurous encounter, as you observe the whales from water level.
Your bilingual guides on either vessel will be more than happy to share information about the whales and surrounding area. Help the naturalist, the captain, the crew, and the other passengers spot the giants of the sea. Breathe in the fresh air and admire the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River as well as the tiny island of Ile Rouge or the lighthouse "Phare Au Fond Prince". After your 2.5 to 3-hour excursion, board the bus for the return journey. Tour concludes with drop-off in Quebec City.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• The Zodiac is suitable not for people with back problems, if you are pregnant or if you are physically handicapped. The big boat is fully accessible; simply keep in mind that there are steep steps between each level and there are 3 different levels
• For those going on the Zodiac, a jacket and pants are given to each passenger on the pier
• Big Boat and Zodiac leave at 1:30 PM. There is a 3-hour ride from Quebec City to Baie-Ste-Catherine. The tour usually leaves at 5:00 PM to return to Quebec City and the driver will stop at the half-way point.
The tour departure point is in front of the Chateau Frontenac at Place d'Armes, 7 Rue Saint Louis, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Please arrive 15 minutes before tour start time
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
