Experience the world’s first large-scale real-scene landscape performance on the Li River, Impression Liu Sanjie, the pioneering work of Zhang Yimou’s “Impression Series.” Located at the Li River Landscape Theater in Yangshuo, Guilin, the show uses 12 karst peaks as the natural backdrop and a nearly 2-kilometer water surface of the Li River as its stage.
Centered on the legendary story of folk song fairy Liu Sanjie, the performance is divided into five themed chapters in different colors, presenting a panoramic view of the multi-ethnic life in Guangxi:
• Red Impression · Folk Songs: Red silk ribbons and torched antiphonal singing restore the fishing life of Li River locals and the folk customs of Zhuang ethnic song fairs.
• Green Impression · Hometown: The core intangible cultural heritage highlight of the whole show — the Dong Grand Chorus is performed, reproducing the idyllic daily life of northern Guangxi villages.
• Golden Impression · Fishing Lights: Twinkling fishing lights on the river recreate the thousand-year-old traditional fishing culture of the Li River.
• Blue Impression · Love Ballads: It interprets minority ethnic wedding customs and romantic love stories against the landscape.
• Silver Impression · Grand Ceremony: Dancers in elaborate silver ethnic costumes present grand ethnic festivals, showcasing the splendid culture of southwestern Chinese ethnic minorities.
With a history of more than 20 years, the show has staged over 9,000 performances and received more than 22 million domestic and overseas tourists. It perfectly integrates landscape scenery, original ethnic ballads, and local folk life, serving as a three-dimensional cultural encyclopedia of Guangxi.

Upon arrival, simply scan your QR code at the self-service ticket machine to collect your official theatre ticket. No manual ticket exchange is required.
After collecting your ticket, guests holding President VIP (A1, A2 or A2 Private Box) tickets may drive directly into the President VIP parking area. Please follow the directions of the theatre staff upon arrival.
Your ticket also includes access to the President VIP lounge area, where complimentary tea break refreshments and drinks are provided before the performance.
Please arrive 30–40 minutes before showtime to allow sufficient time for ticket collection, parking, security checks and admission.

Cancellations
