Trekking to Ciudad Perdida – 5 Days of Adventure, Nature, and Culture with Local Guides. Embark on a unique 5-day journey to Ciudad Perdida, one of Colombia's most impressive gems, guided by local experts. Through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, you will walk along ancient trails, connecting with the history, spirituality, and nature of this region. With native tour guides who know their land deeply, you will have an authentic and transformative experience. DAY 1 | Santa Marta – El Mamey – Camp 1 The tour begins when we pick you up at your accommodation or upon your arrival at our office in Santa Marta. From there, we travel by 4x4 vehicles for 3 hours to the village of El Mamey, the starting point of the hike.
We begin the trek along a trail that winds through the tropical rainforest. Halfway there, we stop at the Mirador de las Tres Cruces to enjoy fresh fruit and a spectacular view of the landscape. We continue on to Camp 1 (Adán or Alfredo) where we will spend the night. During the trek, we will have the opportunity to bathe in natural pools in the Sierra Nevada.

DAY 2 | Camp 1 – Camp Wiwa – Paraíso Teyuna After breakfast, we will resume our hike to Camp 2 (Cabaña Wiwa), where we can take a refreshing dip in the Buritaca River before enjoying lunch.
We then continue the ascent, skirting the indigenous Kogui village of Mutanyi, until we reach Camp 3, the closest point to the Lost City. This will be our second night in the mountains. DAY 3 | Lost City – Wiwa Camp Very early in the morning, we climb 1,200 stone steps to reach the Lost City, the ancient spiritual capital of the Tayrona people. Here we explore terraces, sacred paths, and ceremonial sites surrounded by jungle, history, and spirituality. During the tour, it is possible to see the mamo, spiritual leader and guardian of the territory. After the tour, we return to Camp 3 for lunch and continue to Camp Wiwa, where we spend the night.

DAY 4 | Wiwa Camp – Waterfall Camp We leave after breakfast to begin our return journey with a variation on the route. We cross the Buritaca River by carrucha and follow a path with crossings to Pablo's Waterfall, where we can cool off.
Further on, we cross ravines and arrive at El Abanico Waterfall, very close to Camp de las Cascadas, where we will have lunch and spend the afternoon. There we can learn about traditional crops (yucca, malanga, banana) and visit Tina Waterfall, just 5 minutes from the lodge.

DAY 5 | Campamento de las Cascadas – El Mamey – Santa Marta After breakfast, we begin the last leg of the journey, passing by Fredy's Cabin and then the Bridge Cabin, until we reconnect with the original trail from day 1. The hike ends at El Mamey, where we will have lunch before boarding the vehicle back to Santa Marta.
