Description

Trek the Andes from Chía to Tenjo and reconnect with the sacred origins of Bogotá. Journey through ancestral Muisca lands, highland forests, and timeless myths of the Andean Savanna.
Begin your journey at the "El Cacique" marketplace, the traditional heart of Chía. Ascend past the iconic Valvanera church and through the paths of the ancient Muisca reserve, where indigenous memory still breathes among alleys and stones. Each step reminds you that you walk on sacred ground, where the mountain was once an oracle and water a deity.

As you climb, the city noise fades, and you enter the high Andean ecosystem. Forests of eucalyptus and acacia —planted by modern hands— intertwine with native species like chusquea bamboo, fern, and the majestic frailejón, the silent guardian of the mountains. The air feels purer, colder, older.

But this is more than just a physical journey. Along the trail, the mountains speak to you—of gods hidden in the rocks, civilizations that still live on in dreams, and rumors of lights descending from the night sky. This route is also a bridge between the visible and the unseen.

Your destination is “Paluf,” an eco-village nestled in the mountains of neighboring Tabio. More than just a place to rest, this community-based lodge is a space to reconnect with essential rhythms. Here, time slows down, conversations flow around the fire, and the meaning of community comes alive.
