Description
Tour La Candelaria with an expert architectural guide: 5 internal entries, enter the Botero Museum, taste ancestral chicha, and play tejo, our national sport.
Experience the only tour around the historic center of Bogotá that combines 5 exclusive indoor admissions, a tasting of ancestral chicha, and a real game of tejo, Colombia's national sport.
Walk through La Candelaria with an expert local guide who uses architecture as a common thread to connect Colombian history, politics, and culture. You'll explore nine architectural styles – from colonial and Mudejar to brutalist – while discovering stories about Simón Bolívar, Manuelita Sáenz, and the heroes who were educated at the Colegio Mayor de San Bartolomé.
Enter the Botero Museum to gaze at the master's iconic Mona Lisa, step inside an ancestral mansion in the Chorro de Quevedo to taste chicha, immerse yourself in the aromas of the Plaza de Mercado La Concordia, and learn about the origin of the ajiaco of Santa Fe. At the Estación Café Galería del Tranvía, choose your premium beverage — specialty coffee, a glass of wine or an aromatic infusion — next to a replica of the historic Bogotá tram.
Round it all off at Casa Magola Buendía, learning the history and rules and playing tejo in a truly interactive experience. Great shots are guaranteed at Calle de las Sombrillas, the Capitol Building, the Colon Theater, and the San Carlos Palace.
