San Jacinto Cultural Route, Land of the Big Hammock Come and discover the wonderful municipality of San Jacinto, located in the Montes de María, on the Colombian Caribbean coast. Just an hour and a half from Cartagena de Indias. San Jacinto, land of handmade hammocks, Zenú indigenous tradition, full of color and joy, a community that has moved forward after the violent armed conflict that the region experienced.

We invite you to discover San Jacinto, land of peace, in an experience full of chocolate and organic cocoa, handmade hammocks, and a musical experience to the sound of bagpipes and drums. Departure from Cartagena (door-to-door pickup)

8:30 a.m.: Arrival at the cacao and chocolate processing factory. Breakfast with chocolate and tour of the factory, a venture by cacao-producing farmers. 10:00 a.m.: Visit to artisan looms: demonstration and workshop on vertical loom weaving. Here we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch with the artisan teachers.

11:00 am: Musical experience with maestro Rafa Pérez, bagpiper and decimero from San Jacinto, winners of the Latin Grammy Award. At his school and foundation, Mi Gaita, we will enjoy an afternoon of bagpipes and drums. Currently part of the Cumbia Route. 12:00 Traditional local lunch 1:00 pm Return to Cartagena

2:30–3:00 p.m. Approximate arrival at the hotel.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
