Description

Discover the world-famous wineries of Peljesac on this scenic wine tour. Soak up the tranquility of luscious vineyards, taste regional wines, and enjoy delicious oysters and mussels, served Buzara style, straight from the sea.
Discover the world-famous wineries and the historic town of Ston on this Pelješac wine tour. This long, narrow peninsula north of Dubrovnik is best known for its red wines of the Plavac Mali sort. Wine experts believe that the popular red vines called Zinfandel are direct descendants of Plavac Mali, exported by the Habsburg monarchy during the 19th century when they controlled Croatia.

After a brief stop in Ston to see the second largest wall in Europe, an ancient salt factory and the town’s treasury, continue your way through the picturesque countryside. Before wine, stop for oyster tasting and lunch of mussels "buzara" on shore farm and learn about shell farming.

After lunch, an easy drive to Matusko cellar where you will learn about the history of wine production, see the production process firsthand and taste the most premium Croatian wine - Dingač. Continuing through the Dingač tunnel, steep hillside vineyards toward Trstenik and Žuljana, your guide will explain what makes this region so ideal for growing grapes while you enjoy the beautiful landscape. Stop at Edivo and Curlin wineries for tasting sessions along the way. After a story about Croatian wines, finish back in Ston where lunch in the renowned seafood restaurant “Kapetanova Kuća” is planned.
