Our sightseeing tour is ideal for adventurers who enjoy nature. We will explore the Celestun Biosphere Reserve, home to an iconic bird, the pink flamingo.
Our tour guide will pick up guests at the location registered on the website.
Pickup starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 9:00 AM.
We will travel to the Celestun cruise port (duration 1 hour and 10 minutes). Upon arrival at the beach, we will board one of the available boats to start the activity. Once on board, we'll travel along the coast to reach the ancient ruins of the La Herradura saltworks. On the way to the mangrove, we'll notice the division between the gulf and the sea, a difference in density between the seawater. Upon reaching the mangrove, we will visit a canal to spot flamingos and other endemic and migratory birds in the area. Enjoy the scenery and tranquility of this ecosystem. Right after this part, we will move about 400 meters away from the mangrove to reach a sandbank, an area of the sea where the water is waist-deep (approximately 50 cm), to start a traditional Mayan bath with the sand mud, which serves as a natural exfoliant, a tradition in the area (it is possible to swim in this area, but it is not mandatory). Finally, we will return to the same location where we boarded (total activity time for the activity: 2 hours). Upon arrival at the beach, our tour guide will take you to a local restaurant, where you'll have free time to enjoy the beach area (drinks not included). The restaurant has showers to wash off the sand and sea salt, changing rooms, a beach area, and hammocks.You'll have 2 hours to enjoy the place. Our drop-off will be at 4 PM, arriving in Mérida at 5 PM.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
