From Machico, continue independently along the trail towards Porto da Cruz.
This is a self-guided hike, allowing you to complete the route at your own pace while enjoying mountain and ocean views along the way.
After completing the hike in Porto da Cruz, meet your driver at the designated meeting point for return transportation.
Please note that transportation may be coordinated with other passenger services along the route. Pickup and return times may therefore vary depending on the selected location and other passengers travelling on the same route.

Pickup time will be confirmed the day before or on the morning of departure.
Please respect the pickup and return times. The vehicle may depart without late passengers.
Drop-off is in Machico, where you begin the hike independently. Return pickup is in Porto da Cruz.
This is a self-guided hike. No guide accompanies you.
The route includes exposed cliff sections and is recommended for hikers comfortable with heights.
Wear suitable hiking shoes and bring rain gear, water and food.
Trail conditions may vary, with steep, uneven or slippery sections.

Under Article 11 of Regional Legislative Decree No. 24/2022/M, trail users are responsible for their use of the hiking trail, as provided by law.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
