Description

Discover the Troodos Mountains on a guided tour from Larnaca. Visit a family-owned farm, sample local cheese, explore a rose factory, and enjoy a wine tasting session at a local winery.
Begin your journey with a visit to a family-owned farm, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the owner. Explore the lush farmland and meet the animals that provide the milk for the cheese-making process. Watch as the milk is transformed into cheese, observing each step from milking to curdling, heating, and molding. Sample fresh halloumi, creamy anari, local bread, and olives.

Next, head to Agros, nestled in the Troodos Mountains, and visit a family-owned business that has been preparing traditional smoked and wine meat products since 1978. Try smoked bacon, ham, and sausages, along with the wine used to cure them, all produced in-house.

Within the same village, visit a family-owned rose factory. Learn about the process of product making and try some of these special products.

Continue to Platres for a short trail walk in nature, enjoying the scenery at Millomeris waterfall, one of the biggest waterfalls in Cyprus. Then, head to the heart of the village to a traditional tavern and enjoy a selection of local dishes served in the traditional Cypriot meze style (not included), with options included for vegetarians.

After the walk around Platres, head to the picturesque village of Omodos and visit Timios Stavros Monastery, known as the Monastery of the Holy Cross. Timios Stavros is a stone monastery, considered one of the oldest and most historic monasteries of the island.

Finish your tour just outside the village at a locally famous winery that has been awarded numerous times since 2007. The winery uses 8 grape varieties for its wine collection, and you will have the opportunity to sample all creations during a comprehensive wine-tasting session.
