Description

Discover Cyprus hands-on: bake traditional bread and pies, taste carob syrup, wine & beer, explore Amargeti village, visit Aphrodite’s Rock, and enjoy a meze buffet lunch.
Experience the authentic soul of Cyprus on this immersive small-group tour that combines mythology, village life, hands-on food workshops, and local tastings. This experience is designed for travelers who want meaningful cultural interaction and unforgettable memories beyond typical sightseeing.

Your day begins with hotel pickup by comfortable mini bus and a scenic drive through the Paphos countryside. The first stop is Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite’s Rock), the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite. Enjoy approximately 30 minutes for photos, a short walk along the shoreline, and stories about Cypriot mythology connected to this iconic site.

Next, visit the traditional village of Amargeti, where the main experience takes place at Spring Of Life Forever (Mastros production facilities). You will spend around 4 hours enjoying hands-on workshops, tastings, and cultural activities. All activities take place in the same authentic village building.

Participate in traditional Cypriot food workshops, learning to knead and prepare bread, olive pie, and halloumi pie using techniques passed down through generations. While your creations rise, enjoy a guided visit of the Mastros production area, where you’ll see how carob syrup, craft beer, and local wine are produced, with tasting included. Walk among nearby carob and olive trees and experience the rural landscape.

Bake your creations in a traditional wood-fired oven, then explore the village center, including the Church of Zoodochos Pigi, a historic and peaceful village church, and the Museum of Folk Tradition, which showcases traditional furniture, household items, and farming tools. Nearby, you’ll see the traditional plough (“alétri”), a vital tool used by villagers to cultivate wheat, barley, and olives a symbol of rural Cypriot life.

The tour concludes with a traditional Cypriot meze buffet lunch, including the bread and pies you baked, paired with local red, white, and rosé wines from Amargeti. After lunch, relax on the return drive to your hotel, taking home lasting memories of Cypriot hospitality, culture, and flavors.
