Description

How did a Viking stronghold become the capital of "hygge"? Skip boring history! Let's discover Copenhagen's charm beyond the usual highlights. Visit the Marble Church, Nyhavn, and more.
Copenhagen is best explored with a guide who actually knows their stuff—and isn't afraid to make you laugh along the way. This city is full of royal drama, quirky history, and sneaky hidden gems that your average guidebook won't tell you about. Get ready to explore Copenhagen with confidence, curiosity, and a few “wait… seriously?!” moments along the way!

Join us for a 2-hour walking tour through Copenhagen’s Old Town, where we mix the must-see sights with the offbeat corners and hilarious stories that make the city feel alive.

We kick things off at Christiansborg Palace Square, where our fun-loving, experienced Local Guide spills the royal tea—power struggles, political shenanigans, and scandalous personalities included. Then we wander streets where medieval history rubs shoulders with everyday Danish life (and the occasional coffee shop).

On the way to Gammel Strand and Højbro Plads, we dive into Copenhagen’s beginnings with Bishop Absalon and watch it grow into a bustling waterfront city. Strolling along Strøget, one of Europe’s oldest pedestrian streets, you'll see centuries-old architecture, modern design, and locals casually showing off their stylish bicycles—all in one shot.

We pass famous spots like Nikolaj Church, Magasin du Nord, and Kongens Nytorv, uncovering how trade, culture, and royal quirks shaped the city. Then it’s off to the Royal Playhouse and Old Stage—Copenhagen’s love for drama and the arts is basically contagious.

And then… the showstopper: Nyhavn. Colorful houses, waterfront charm, maritime history, and yes, Hans Christian Andersen lurking somewhere in the background. We walk off the Amalienborg Palace Complex and end the tour with a visit to Frederik’s Church (Marble Church), bringing royal elegance and clever city planning to our walk.

Our tours are led by guides who know Copenhagen inside and out—and aren't afraid to point out the funny, quirky, or downright bizarre moments along the way. No boring lectures, no speed-walking panic—just laughs, stories, and a city that suddenly feels way more charming than any photo could capture.

Walk with Rosotravel and turn your Copenhagen adventure into an experience full of history, culture… and laughs you'll still be quoting months later.
