Voss Active is ´the rafting expert` in Voss and the only company that can raft the best sections of both the Stranda River and the Raundal River. This allows us to choose the river that will provide the best experience depending on the water level on the day of your trip. Both rivers are top class and world renowned, and we guarantee an amazing experience.
Stranda River: Grade 3-4+, approx. 8 km. A classic! This is the most well-known river with spectacular rapids such as “Laila,” “Svanhild,” “Elevator,” and “Kåre.” The river progresses from an easy section for training, then to challenging and powerful rapids of the middle section, finishing with calmer waters towards the end where we can jump into the river and float with the current.
Raundal River: Grade 3-4+, approx. 7 km. The Raundal River runs through a beautiful and isolated gorge, away from traffic and other civilization. With the right water level, we are the only company that can raft the mighty “Timberhole” rapids - the largest raftable rapid in Europe! The Raundal River is renowned for its crystal-clear, turquoise water and beautiful bedrock features. Towards the end, everyone has the chance to take a 4-meter cliff jump at the “Church-Drop” and take a dip before we reach the finish point.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
