Duration:
06:00 hours
Description
Circumnavigate Yagaji Island on a guided kayak tour. Experience a variety of sea scapes and conditions, spot migratory birds and learn the unique adaptations of mangrove trees. Bento lunch provided.
Paddle around Yagaji Island on a 14-kilometer kayak trip with your private group. Explore the island's diverse landscapes, including a river-like valley, rugged limestone islands, bridges, and mangrove bays.
Meet your guide and get a safety briefing and some basic paddling tips. Then, set off on your adventure. Kayak through a valley with steep jungle walls, under a very tall bridge, and out towards the sea and under the famous Kouri Bridge.
While not entering the deep sea, the east coast of Yagaji Island offers the chance to navigate past tiny islands and long white sand beaches before passing under the last bridge and into Haneji inland sea.
At a suitable break point, usually a nice sandy isolated beach, you'll be able to have a refreshing swim and enjoy the bento lunch we carry with us.
The inland sea is a very calm area providing a number of mangrove bays, where you'll be able to learn about and see various species of mangrove trees with their unique adaptations to living in a high salt environment.
Throughout the year, there are a variety of migratory bird species resident.
I can adjust the tour to suit your ages and abilities, and with the safety of the inland sea there are a number of different routes and adjustments to make it a fun and comfortable adventure.
