Check-in in Waitomo where your guide will ensure you are properly equipped and offer some technical instruction before you descend into the underground network of the Waitomo Caves.
Practice abseiling with your guide to ensure you feel confident before abseiling down 35-meters into the seemingly bottomless black depths of the glowworm-studded Ruakuri Cave.

• Participants must be 16 years or older and weigh at least 45 kilograms
• A moderate level of fitness required for this tour
• All tours are subject to availability
• Water temperature is 10-14 degrees Celsius, so wetsuits and footwear are provided
• A minimum of 2 participants is required for the tour to run
• The Waitomo Caves are located 195 kilometers from Auckland and round-trip transport from Auckland is not included
• Cameras and GoPro's cannot be taken on this tour

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
