Discover the highest active volcano Cotopaxi of all Sudamerica and its massive National Park the communities and their endemic flora and fauna.
From an hour and a half from Quito by the Panamericana south, crossing a part of the Andean Mountain Ranges and the population of Machachi. This is a famous place for its livestock and agriculture of the Pasochoa and Rumiñahui. We will have our first technical stop at an altitude of 2945m (9662.07 feet) for Acclimatization, breakfast and photos. Our second stop will be at the entrance to the Cotopaxi National Park 3200m (10498.69 ft), people from surrounding communities will await us with souvenir sales. Cotopaxi National Park is the second most visited in Ecuador after the Galapagos Islands, Its main attraction the Cotopaxi Volcano with an altitude of 5987m (19347.11 ft), is the highest active volcano in the world, and thousands of tourists visit it each month for being one of the main tourist attractions near Quito.
The most performed activities are climbing to the top, hiking, horseback riding, and biking. Our 1-day tour combines up to 3 activities, starting with the hike to the Jose Rivas refuge at 4,864 (15748.03 ft.), It is easy to climb to this height without having technical equipment and without experience is possible because our transport reaches the parking lot.
After going down from the shelter we will make a bike descent (optional but fun activity) from the upper part of the volcano to the lower part of the park to the Laguna de Limpiopungo 3850 m (12631.23 ft) and the people who take Cavalcade will do it in the camping area, in the lower part.

when you arrive in cotopaxi there is a lot of wind and the altitude is 3580 meters above sea level. the passengers that are not used to that altitude should not run, you need to acclimatize first.
