Mindo Cloud Forest and Birding Circuit Tour

Enjoy hummingbird watching, which are conducted in groups in the morning or afternoon amidst the cloud forest of Mindo. Another option is to visit Hostal el Descanso, where you can find spaces with various species of hummingbirds. This will be our first stop during the Mindo tour.

Explore a Mindo Nambillo waterfall, which is formed by the Nambillo River and has become a natural swimming spot and attraction in Mindo. The waterfall is 15 meters (49.21 feet) high, and there are opportunities for 4 and 12-meter (13.12 and 39.37 feet) jumps for those who enjoy adventure sports. Mindo Nambillo waterfall has two natural pools for the enjoyment of crystal-clear waters without any risks.

Mindo Canopy Ziplines (optional): Canopy is one of the standout activities when exploring Mindo. Canopy is an adventure sport where you traverse a route using steel cables, a pulley, and safety equipment. The cable distances can be 10, 20, or 40 meters (32.8 - 65.6 or 131.2 feet) in length. During the canopy flight, you can observe the trees, the wildlife that inhabits them, and experience a unique adventure through the cloud forest of Mindo.

Visit the Mindo butterfly garden, which is part of the botanical garden. In the butterfly garden, you can appreciate and learn about the four life stages of butterflies. Mindo's butterfly garden is home to over 12,000 species, which you can observe up close.

Discover a Coffee Museum (optional): You will have the opportunity to learn about and enjoy organic coffee from Mindo, including the planting, processing, and artisanal roasting of coffee. The tour will last approximately one hour, during which you will learn about the history and importance of coffee in the region.

Enjoy of the Chocolate Museum: To conclude the Mindo tour, you will learn about the chocolate-making process and have the chance to taste this delicious treat. After a wonderful day on the Mindo tour, we will return to Quito.
