Pululahua Volcano Sightseeing Tour

Discover the Pululahua volcano and its legendary caldera, one of the few inhabited in the world. We'll go on a hike through the center of the caldera and climb one of its domes.
8:00 AM We will leave Quito (historic center) for the Ciudad Mitad del Mundo, where the ascent to the volcano begins.

9:00 a.m. From the "Ventanillas" vantage point, we will descend to the center of the volcanic caldera to explore one of its domes, "El Chivo" or "Pondoña". Along the way, you'll observe the native flora and fauna of this unique caldera, where you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and places to take photos or simply escape the noise of the city.

1:00 PM Time to enjoy a boxed lunch (included). Free time to sample the local cuisine of your choice (service not included). We recommend some excellent restaurants.

14:00 Drop-off. The ascent through the caldera is of moderate difficulty. You must be in excellent physical condition.

3:00 p.m. Arrival at the top of the caldera, at the dome from which the adventure began. Time to shop for souvenirs. 3:30 p.m. Choice of visit: Middle of the World City or Intiñan Museum.

6:00 pm Hotel drop-off. The transport takes between 40 minutes and 1 hour. We'll tell you more about the history of our country during the sightseeing tour.

The sightseeing tour ends at approximately 7:00 PM.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
