Day 1:
Depart from the Inter Tours office or hotels in Zona Escalon, Zona Rosa, heading west. Cross the border from El Salvador to Honduras, arriving in Copan Ruinas in the mid-afternoon. Enjoy free time to explore the town of Copan Ruina on your own.
Day 2:
Start the day with a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Copan Ruinas. The ruins are extensive, and a portion has been restored and can be visited. It was discovered by the Spanish and is admired for the high degree and details of its acropolis.
Enjoy free time to visit the museum or explore the Rosalila tunnel (additional fee). At the end of the visit, depart back to El Salvador, with a stop in Metapan for lunch (not included). Arrive in San Salvador around 5:00 PM.
