9 Days Omo Valley and Danakil Danakil Depression tour

Discover the fascinating Omo Valley tribes and explore the rugged terrain of the Danakil Depression on our 9 Days Southern Ethiopia Tribe and Danakil Tour.
Day 1: Arrival we will wait for you @ the airport.
will take you to your hotel for a short rest and take you out the oldest coffee shop in Addis then at about 7:pm we will take you to a restaurant with live dancing. You will witness dance performance from different ethnic group of the country while enjoying dinner. This is a very good introduction to the whole tour.

✈️Day 2 :Fly Addis-Arbaminch
Fly to Arbaminch and drive about 45 min to the Dorze village to the the Dorze people know for having elephant shaped house and weaving.Back to town. and this is day is a market day in Chincha near Dorze you will visit this local Market.

Day 3: Arbaminch- Jinka.
Drive to jinka which is about 3h 30min and visit the Konso tribes, rich in Histry and curture and their teracing registered as UNESCO heritage terraceing and and continue to Jinka on the way stop to visit the ARBORE tribes and drive to Jinka.
- Overnight: Lodge.

Day 4: Jinka-Mursi- Turmi.
Drive from Jinka, to the Mursi village through the Mago park visit the Mursi tribes, known for their women inserting a clay plate on their lip and drive back to town and drive to Turmi a small town of the Hamer people in the evening visit the Hamer tribes village near town.

Day 5: Turmi- Konso
Drive to Visit the Yangatom tribes they are the tallest and their life style is like the Yangatom of the South Sudan on the way back drive to the other side of the Omo river to visit the most decorated tribes of the area Karo tribes and drive to Konso . - - Overnight: Lodge.

✈️Day 6 : Konso- Arbamich- Addis(flight)
Drive from Konso to Arbaminch and do the boat trip on lake Chamo to visit the crocodiles on the shore of the lake Chamoto then drop you @ the airport to fly to Addis directly .

Day 7: Mekelle-Dallol.
Here you begin your Danakil tour with group. From here you drive to Hamed Ela, It is about 280 km drive with a new asphalt road. It is about 3 hours drive. in the afternoon you will start some atraction like the Dallol mount just 40 min drive from Your camping site. The main thing for this days is the spectacular sun at the whole white and spectacular lake Asale. drinks and fun.
- Overnight: camping under the stars in Hamed Ela

Day 8: Dallol - Erta Ale
visit all sites around Dallol like the color mounts in, the salt mountain and the salt plate. and in the after noon drive to the Volcano, you will have about 45min hiking. and when it gets dark visit the active lava.
- Overnight: camping near the lave lake.

✈️ Day 9: Volcano- Mekelle- Addis
Drive to Mekelle and stop at Lake Afdera to swim and continue driving to Mekelle. and fly to Addis. end of tour
