Day 1: Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, our staff will ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel, allowing time for rest & rejuvenation.
Addis Ababa Guided City Tour: Our knowledgeable and multilingual guide will accompany you to explore the National Museum, home to ancient artifacts & the famous Lucy skeleton,as well as the Ethnography Museum. You'll also visit the majestic Menelik Palace, Holy Trinity Cathedral & experience the vibrant atmosphere of Merkato, Africa's largest open-air market.
Day 2: Addis Ababa Flight to Gondar - Drive to Simien Mountains National Park via Debark - Trek to Sankaber Camp: After flying to Gondar, you will travel to Debark, the headquarters of the National Park, to sign up and get permission to enter. Then, trek to Sankaber camp, enjoy the diverse plant species, and observe Gelada Baboons, clipspringer, bushbuck, and various bird species.
Overnight Camping at Sankaber.
Day 3: Sankaber Camp Trek to Gich Camp: Trek to Gich (15km, 7 hours) and encounter Gelada Baboons, Klipspringer, and Bushbuck. You'll also witness Jinba waterfalls, a 500m sheer drop, and finish at Gich camp.
Overnight Camping at Gich.
Day 4: Mt. Imet Gogo - Mt. Innatye - Chenneck Camp: Climb Mt. Imet Gogo and Mt. Innatye for breathtaking panoramic views. Then, trek down to Chenneck camp, located in a beautiful valley at 3,620m. Encounter Gelada Monkeys, baboons, and walia Ibex.
Overnight Camping at Chenek.
Day 5: Chenneck Camp - Mt. Buahit - Back to Chenek - Gondar:
Trek up to the summit of Mt. Buahit for about 3 hrs and enjoy a 360-degree view. Then, trek back to the camp, have lunch, and drive back to Gondar. Enjoy views of the Simien Mountains and wildlife along the way.
After having a satisfying lunch drive back to Gondar,where you'll kick off an exciting City Tour. Gondar boasts impressive historical architecture influenced by various cultures,including palaces,churches baths. Another must-see is the Church of Debre Birhan Selassie,renowned for its iconic ceiling adorned with painted angels. Later, you'll head back to your hotel in Gondar & prepare for a delightful dinner at Four Sisters restaurant, known for its delectable cuisine.
Day 6: Drive to Lalibela, stopping at the Awramba village.
Day 7: Full day in Lalibela exploring rock-hewn churches.
Day 8: Drive to Semera, preparing for the Danakil Depression adventure.
Day 9: Journey to the Danakil Depression, starting the desert exploration.
Day 10: Explore sulfur springs, salt mountains, and Erta Ale volcano.
Day 11: Return to Semera and fly back to Addis Ababa.
Day 12: Fly to Arba Minch, visit the crocodile market and Lake Chamo.
Day 13: Drive to Konso village, then Turmi for an overnight stay.
Day 14: Visit Kara village, possibly witness bull jumping, and enjoy Evan Gady dance.
Day 15: Explore Dassanech tribe village, drive to Jinka.
Day 16: Visit Mursi village, return to Jinka, then fly back to Addis Ababa for departure your final international flight or over night Addisabeba.
