Day 1: the morning, fly east to Dire Dawa and visit the Ethio-Djibouti Rail ways station which dates back to the beginning of the first decade of the 20th Century, and the spice market of Dire Dawa. Then, drive 55 km to the old and walled town of Harar which was the Muslim Capital of Ethiopia in the medieval time. Here you will have a sightseeing tour to visit the walls and gates of Harar, the multicultural market of the people of Amhara, Oromo, and Adere(Harari), the house of the famous 19th Century French poet – Arthur Rimbaud, and in the evening drive to one of the gates of Harar to visit the ‘Hyena Man’ when he feeds wild hyenas by hand.

Day 2: Drive Harar – Dire Dawa and fly to Addis

After breakfast drive back to Dire Dawa for your flight back to Addis. En route, visit the biggest Chat (mild stimulant chewed by addicted) Market at Aweday,drop off you at Dire dewa airport
