The road to Moraine Lake is closed to private vehicles and is open only seasonally—from mid-June to mid-October—accessible by shuttle, commercial bus, or private transport. This activity operates from June to October each year.

The pickup location at 135 Beaver St, Banff, AB T1L 1A1, Canada in downtown Banff is behind the Mount Royal Hotel, which is often referred to as the Mount Royal Hotel Bus Terminal. This is a common pickup point for various shuttles, located in the back parking lot of the hotel.
