Enjoy a walking tour of Avignon, and taste the wine from Chateauneuf du Pape.
With your guide, discover the rich, historical centre of Avignon, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Enjoy the panoramic view of the surroundings and the Rhône River, Pont d'Avignon by walking up to the top of the fortified city walls and Rochers des Doms. Visit the largest gothic-style Popes’ Palace whereby successive popes resided between 1309 and 1377. Continue on to the Place de l'Horloge, the Town Hall and the Theatre. Enjoy a glass of Côtes du Rhône wineserved in a place close to the palace. (operated only in english).
Scenic drive through the vineyard of Châteauneuf du Papefollowed by wine-tastings at 2 different wineries.
From the ruins of the Pope's summer residence, enjoy a panoramic view over the Rhône river valley and the hill ranges surrounding the village.
NB : participants will be required to walk on cobblestone streets and climb many flights of steps during the tour. Therefore, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Lunch on your own in Avignon

Cancellations
